call your local city hall, ask about senior services or building dept;; someone there should know the stats, perameters for building a ramp;; has to be a certain distance, height & angle to accomodate a wheelchair without your uncle going up or actually down too fast, or falling off, & the angles/corners have to be a certain size so as to turn the w/c when needed;; they will know the answers;; they may even be able to get it done @ a discount or free, depending on your community & your uncles income;; you can also see if the insurance (dependent on medical neccesity) will pay for a temporary ramp (dependent on the length) & you could get one from a medical supply company in your area… Hope it helps!!

This is a bit embarrassing, but it's getting more difficult to move around these days (bad hip) and wanted to check into jazzy electric wheel chairs. I sorta want to find out if there are any models of jazzy electric wheel chairs that are better than others. I don't really want any other brands though because I've heard good things about their speed and other things, but I wanted to hear more from people who've had experience with jazzy electric wheel chairs. I did a search for jazzy electric wheel chair and it showed a lot, but I still haven't made up my mind. Let me know what you think!

Don't be embarrassed! To people who have no legs, and can't get around at all, their wheelchair IS their legs. It's nothing to get embarrassed about, but on to your question about jazzy electric wheel chairs. My favorite model has been the 1100. It's an older model, and I'm not even sure if they sell it still, but it's easily the best, and has never failed me whereas others have.
